HLT42021 Certificate IV in Massage Therapy
Graduates are eligible to join the Association of Massage Therapists as a General Level Member. AMT members can apply for a health fund provider number, which provides access to private health rebates for clients.
Institute of Allied Health is a trading name for the Australian Institute of Professional Counsellors Pty Ltd and qualifications are awarded by AIPC (RTO Provider Number 0670).
This Cert IV in Massage Therapy is delivered online. You can study your online Certificate IV full-time, part-time, or at your own pace. Full-time study typically takes approximately 8 months.
This Certificate IV in Massage Therapy course requires a minimum of 80 hours of work placement (an average of 12 hours per week) at an Endeavour College of Natural Health Clinic, completing activities that contribute to assessment.
To obtain entry to this online massage course, you need to demonstrate completion of at least Year 12 (or equivalent) OR a recognised Certificate III qualification and be at least 18 years of age.
If you are 21 years or older, you may apply for entry based on completion of at least 2 years of employment where literacy and numeracy was required to undertake the work.
This course is not available to international students.

This Cert IV in Massage Therapy qualification requires the completion of HLTAID011, Provide First Aid. Students are required to attain this through an appropriate training organisation and provide a Statement of Attainment to receive a Credit Transfer for this unit. In undertaking this unit, students will need to have the physical capacity to undertake CPR for at least two minutes kneeling on the floor.
